FOR MY AMERICAN FRIENDS - FROM LEGACY FIVE

.
I am thankful for music and awesome lyrics and wonderful voices and musicians.

THE HYDRO DAM AT OSAGE BEACH HAS AN INTERESTING HISTORY AS IT WAS BUILT DURING THE 1930S DEPRESSION.

I don't think it's a secret that I'm in love with the United States of America. TWJ ad I began our love affair with USA in 2005 when we had our first trip overseas and took a 7 week road trip through about 13 States from Miami to LA.

TWJ WALK IN A SMALL PARK NEAR OUR MOTEL AT OSAGE BEACH

We had so many wonderful experiences and barrels of memories. A special one was a Gospel Concert at Osage Beach, MO. We had little idea of the treat in store when we crossed the road to the hall. We heard live for the first time Gospel singers in quartet and liked Legacy Five so much that when we returned for a shorter trip the following year we flew into Nashville and drove to Chattanooga just to see them again. All the way from the backblocks of the Coromandel Peninsula, New Zealand to Chattanooga, Tennessee to go to a Legacy Five Concert.

LEGACY FIVE AS THEY WERE IN 2005. SINCE THEN THERE HAVE BEEN A FEW CHANGES. THE SADDEST WHEN ROGER BENNET WENT HOME TO JESUS AFTER A LONG FIGHT WITH LEUKAEMIA

I am hard core Pentecostal Revivalist influenced by such places as Catch The Fire in Toronto and Bethel in Redding, CA but these guys touched something deep within me and I follow their travels via their Blog and Newsletter. This morning they put this up and I thought all of us can appreciate it. It's not often you the put a song on their Blog so hope you make the most of it as you think of the freedom we have when we live in a democratic country.

Listen to this and be thankful God is still around us.

I listened to the song... it was wonderful! It was a refreshing change from doom and gloom. I appreciate that. :-)

Our church is closely associated with Bethel in Redding... one of our young pastors in just moving down there (from here in Oregon) to be on staff... we are going to miss him, but know it's going to be a blessing for him. :-)
